Dropping in to say hey

New Year...new goals.

Last year I got off my butt and lost a little over 50 pounds. Dropped the weight quick then started building on my muscle mass. The image that I had in mind for myself was a simple, lean look. Well defined chest, delts, lats and arms....nothing huge. Then I watched 300 for a second time about 2 months ago and got completly amped about this coming year and the goals I want to acheive.

I can't weight for the new year to get here.....:SaiyanSmilie_anim:

Hey Kathi :jump1:

I actually was keeping a journal for a while...then I stopped. Big mistake on my part! For those that haven't kept a journal on your workouts, give it a try. It helps me stay motivated and to push harder. Plus, it is really easy to see the results this way..seriously. I leaf through mine ever so often and see how much weight I was(wasn't) pushing and compare it what I am doing now...it's gratifying. I weigh in once a month, I haven't measured my body...bi size, leg size etc...but I am going to this year. Just looking into the mirror wasn't enough for me....seeing the numbers...my body weight going down, the time on the threadmill increase, the amount of weight I could push increase....it was nice to see(to be reminded). I hate to admit it, but when I first started working out I could only do 30 pounds dumbell presses. I'm now pushing up 90 on the flat bench and 75 and 80 on the incline..:SaiyanSmilie_anim:
