Hey friends, how are you?... if found an easy tip to lose weight for you effectively...and here is it:
Coffee has been unfairly demonized. Quality coffee is loaded with antioxidants and can have numerous health benefits.Studies show that the caffeine in coffee can boost metabolism by 3–11% and increase fat burning by up to 10–29%...Just make sure not to add a bunch of sugar or other high-calorie ingredients to your coffee. That will completely negate any benefits.

Drinking a cup of black coffee(without sugar) can help in reducing the risk of diabetes

While there is some suggestions of this, the studies are not conclusive, and there are studies which also show the opposite. The primary study, while large, suffers from the problem that data was self reported and other risk factors for diabetes were not controlled.

Another study from Finland only showed a benefit for those consuming 10 cups or more a day, at which point the side effects generally outweigh the benefits. There was no benefit observed at lower intakes.

Further, a randomised controlled study showed caffeine intake acutely lowered insulin sensitivity.

i would change "preferably" to "definitely"... odd that i used to drink coffee with cream, but all of a sudden i'm liking black coffee (still with sweetener, but that's something everyone should work out for themselves).

I don't drink coffee every day, but when I do I add creamer. I like the creaminess, it makes my coffee taste like a dessert, and I really love that hot warm sweetness. I don't add extra sugar, because the creamer I use is sweet enough. I know I should choose black coffee without anything added, but I don't drink coffee to get caffeine. I drink it to have a treat, and without that creamer it's not much of a treat. I don't drink it daily though, usually on days when I'm just needing comforting. It's my go-to early in the morning at work, on those bad days when I just feel like I need a little love. It helps. I often skip breakfast so this is my empty-guilty-fat-sweet-calories for the morning. But, there are other days when I prefer eating a few small tangerines, and a handful of walnuts and just drinking ice water. I guess Ice water is a better choice, and since it's comforting to me too, I might try to do more ice-water, since I am needing to lose weight. *cries*

I like a coffee in the mornings, before starting the day.
It's a good caffeine boost for a long car drive. (I have a 40 minute commute to work)
I dumped sugar, 25 years ago. But I still like 1% milk in my coffee.
I found black coffee left an undesirable after taste.

.... But I still like 1% milk in my coffee. ...
i used to think that the lower the fat, the better for you, but now i know better. the lower the fat, the higher the lactose (sugar by another name)... if i ever use milk for anything now, it is 3.5% whole milk.

If you are not a big fan of black coffee with no sugar then losing weight with caffeine is only a day dream. Coffee with sugar and cream can add up to your fat. It can be so harmful if losing weight is your goal. Think twice before ordering tempting coffees in restaurants.

i must admit i am behind the times. i know about the existence of "designer" coffees, but for me, if it doesn't come out of my Mr. Coffee with generic Colombian beans, it might be a senior price cup at a FF restaurant, but i really have never frequented the sort of place where they write your name on the cup before the 18-step brewing process brought to you by your personal barista, Marco.

I googled "calcium & lactose fat & calories in common milk products".
(see attached jpg)
1 cup of: has Calcium (mg) Lactose (g) fat (g) Calories
whole milk 291 13.02 8 148
2% milk 302 12.92 5 129
1% milk 322 13.41 2.5 108
skim milk 316 13.18 trace 88

While 1% milk has slightly higher (0.4 g) lactose, I believe benefits of lower fat (5.5 g) and calories (40) out weigh extra 0.4 gram/cup of lactose.
Given I drink about 1/4 cup of 1% milk in my daily cup of coffee, I think it's probably not an issue either way.

you are right that the calories are in the noise for a small shot of most any cream-type product in coffee. up to 50 calories is not enough to even knock you out of a fasting mode, but when i look at calories now, i prefer fat over sugar carbs. fat calories trigger the smallest insulin reaction of the three macronutrients. i try to keep my sugar intake in the 6-8gm max/ day range.
