Just wanted to post the fruits of my long, difficult labor of weight loss!!! I started out at a size 20, and now I'm a 14!! Hoping to end up in the 10/12 range!!!

First, the before:

This is me at about 225 pounds, karaoking on March 3, 2007 (my birthday)

Yikes, right???

Then last night, I put on those same clothes again (well, almost the same clothes; I couldn't find the khakis so I put on a pair of old jeans):

The shirt was tied around me as tight as it would go and it was STILL loose! And I don't even think I need to comment about how huge the pants are!

AND NOW, the piece de resistance:

Check out the collar bones! Yeah BOYEEE!!!! (And I'm totally rockin' the hair poof)

I'm feeling great, and my goal is totally in sight. Just 20 more pounds to go! My only question is why did no guys hit on me last night??? What is up with that!?!?

EDIT: Almost forgot this picture! Here's a close-up of my face, where I think you can see the most dramatic change:

wow! very good job! congrats on all the weightloss...I can't belive the difference in your face, you look like a whole new person ! :)

Dang girl! It doesn't even look like the same person. You've obviously been working hard, it shows!

You look sooooooooo much younger!

It's all about the attitude.

And my best boy advice ever was: focus on quality, not quantity.
1 worthy guy talking to you is worth 457 pieces of crap. :D

You look great! Not sure what them guys were thinking. :D Best of luck to you on your last 20 pounds.

Thank you thank you thank you to everyone who has commented!!! I feel great about myself, but it's nice to hear it echoed back once in a while!!!

Also, I just found out today I have 32 percent body fat, which apparently is in the "normal" range... how awesome is that?? I'm on the high end of normal, for sure, but normal none the less. Rock out!

 <-- these emoticons are so fun

:hurray::hurray: VERY WELL DONE! Excellent job - you are such a cutie, and you look like you're ever so much fun, too! Very cool that you only have 20 Lbs to your goal - very doable! You can see such a huge difference in your body and your face.

Keep it up!

How'd you have the body fat test done?

Thanks!!! I did it by following Jenny Craig and learning what correct portion sizes were, first of all. Then for exercise, first I trained for a century ride (100 miles on a bike), and now I'm training for a triathlon. Going to do my first tri at the end of March!!!:hurray:

now that's exciting... you look fantastic but to be that fit to compete in atriathlon is a huge victory...

dc in march is pretty chilly - where does the swim portion take place? surely not the potomic :D

Lookin' good, lookin' very good!

I'm going to do a sprint-speed tri with a bunch of guys in Delaware in September. Sadly I'll be off by myself while my guy friends (all three of them) will be swimming/biking/running in the same heat. You should come do the Dewy Beach Tri with me! (By the way, I live in Baltimore.)

I could do a sprint-speed now because I know I can swim a mile and then get up and run a 5k without much trouble. Do you know the length of that triathlon in March?

The triathlon in March is the "Tune-up Tri" () and it's very short -- 1.4-mile run, 4-mile bike and 250-yard swim. It's set up just so you can gauge how your training is going and then tailor your work-out if you have trouble with one of the sections or can't make it through the whole thing. (Also, for whoever it was that commented about swimming in the potomac in March, you don't have to -- the swim section's in a pool)

I feel like I could get through it no problem even if I were to do it tomorrow. Ultimately, though, I'm going to use it to help me build up confidence for an actual sprint-length tri in May (that one's a 250-meter swim, 12+ mile bike ride and a 5k).

But in all seriousness, if you'd like a female training buddy/companion for the Dewy Beach tri, let me know!! I'd totally be down for it! I have no idea where Dewy Beach is but I'll figure it out!:D
