To start I am 5' 5", 22 years old, currently 155 which is down from 175 a few months ago.
I joined and found out about micheal thurmond's program, I bought it used and followed it for a few months, now I am down 20 lbs, which it claimed 30 but I began cheating lol... I however have become more aware of sodium intake, proper portions and eating habits, which I still try to follow if I can.
I worked outside for 40 hours in the summer and also had a part time job. 60 hours a week and a physical job helped in the weight loss, now I am back into school and eating whatever and have decided to take up jogging which I both love and hate. I would also like to note that I have not gained any of my weight back because of my awareness towards eating habits and internal need for some form of excercise (jogging).
I would like to be at 130 and it's my goal.
I have taken karate for 8 years, however cannot since I started University and part time work, it's just too much now, so I started off with a fair amount of muscle from this training, but poor eating habits are what got me!
I have to say that another 20 lbs is quite manageable it's just keeping motivated, which is why I am writing now!
I also would like to mention that my sister has been fighting anorexia for almost 3 years and because of this action my family and boyfriend (been with him for 3 years) watch what I everyone is eating and making sure they have proper intake, which when I started cutting down on carb portions and sugar I could tell in the summer I was being watched.
My heaviest weight was around 200 lbs and in a few months I took karate to the extreme as well as my eating habits and dropped about 50lbs, so my family watches how I respond to food in an attempt to keep from a second anorexic girl in the family. BUT: I am not stubborn enough to cut out food, and am too busy to excercise constantly, watching her and knowing what she has gone through is a very good educational tool when losing weight. Extremes are hard on a person whether it is over eating or undereating, and both take their severe tolls on the body.
Now to keep motivation, though my family meals consist of fat, carb and calorie loaded meals for an anorexic, and making sure to lose weight without making her feel like she should, is the hard part. Anyone else in this position? It's kind of odd I guess and it's a delicate balance when one doesn't always control the prepared meals.
