I shouted these words today "You can do this!", and that is to stop with the failing attempts to kill the weight and actually stay committed and finish it and be better and fitter then ever before.

About.Me
Hey, I'm Dom & 20yo from Melbourne Australia. Studying in university currently and willing myself to lose the weight that has been freeloading on my body for farrrrr to long, it has overstayed its welcome and will be gone before Christmas and my new life free from the baggage. I enjoy playing RuneScape in my free time, bit of an addict on it you could say, I game so much to get away from the overweight life.

That.Dusty.Goal

The goal/plan is to lose about 50-60 lb

Starting weight: 116.8kg (257.5lb)

Currently: 116.8kg (257.5lb)

Total Lost: -0.0kg (0.0lb)

Finishing Weight: 80kg (175lb)

Fell off the tracks again.. back to square one.. 116.5kg. ahwell no excuses.
I did begin my Nursing course though so that is going well and keeps me busy studying, decided to try lose the weigh again for Christmas and Summer (summer starts in December for us Aussies :p) So here we go again!

Also going to track my weight (pretty much a weigh in) each Monday

Thats all for this thread now. I'll add some pictures when I have time to get the pictures done and uploaded to view.. though will take some time I'm a bit shy -lol- Anyway if anyone wanted to have a friend/partner to help motivate each other I'd be more then happy to team up with someone and do this! :willy_nilly:

Hi Dom! I'm 19 also, but I turn 20 next month, so i'm trying to reach my goal before I turn 21. I wouldn't mind working together, extra motivation is always good!

And just like you said, "you can do this!" Yes, you certainly can!

Neglected this goal... sadly. But I'm back and will continue fighting!

Been going Gym passed few days so all is good.

Right on man! Nice to see you return. And your original mantra is still correct, you can do this! :hurray:

So far lost 6.2lb, and am at 243.8lb. I'm getting there! though I should say I've been slacking and have not been to gym passed 3 days *whacks self* find it hard to get motivated to drag my ass there LOL

If I stay focused I think I could make 220lb before February is up.

Wish me luck!

Hey there! I saw that you signed up to do the challenge! It's really fun and I'm super pumped you'll be participating!

Keep up the good work! Don't worry - it's A-O-K to take a few days off from the gym! :)

Hey, Dom! Just wanted to wish you success in your WL journey! You have your whole life ahead of you, so this is the perfect time to get into shape. You may have to be willing to trade some of your Runescape time for more physically challenging things. It is interesting that you recognize part of the gaming "addiction" relates to being overweight and not wanting to face things. Introspection is a good thing!

Cheers to you, :cheers2:my friend Down Under.

Hey ABBAgirl Thankyou for the kind words! Yes I agree so much more I'd feel more like doing instead of using my weight as an excuse! And yeah dang addiction hah though I've finished the game if you've ever played it. So I I'm not as addicted now and feel like getting into shape now.

:cheers2: back at ya :D

Monday 16th Feb;

Dragged my ass to the GYM around 12:30p, went for a good 1hr

- 30-40mins of cardio
- 20-30mins using the machines, stomach exercises etc..

Also there is the walking to and back form the GYM walking back was MURDER! cause the sun was hitting down on me.. burning and I was already hot all over from the workout.. the cold shower and home when i returned was the best !

So far haven't been hungry, 2pm now so I'll probably make myself a salad, tuna, and some bread. Also Drinking Green Tea again ( I actually don't mind it! I actually like drinking it haha!)

Probably will do some free weight exercises this evening for about 20-30mins.

In conclusion...Going to the GYM and all makes you feel GOOD! :hurray:

Todays food intake;

- Lunch Salad ( onions feta cheese tomatoes and a dressing )
- Snack: Almonds, grapes.
- Dinner: Small portion of meat, and salad, with some green tea!

Got in about a good 1.2L of water so far goal is 2L of water a day so about another 3 cups of water.

New day all is good.

Woke feeling a little sick usually do... I've decided to stop drinking milk all together seems to make my stomach act weird. Sometimes I can take milk with no problems, sometimes it can be murder. So maybe might try Soya milk but not too sure at this stage, yogurt is always good too though.

Mum had a day off work so we hit the gym together, makes it more motivating!

Breakfast i know is the most important meal of the day yet I sorta skip it usually, not good. Having fresh fruit drink now; Apples, carrots, and oranges. Totally love it the taste.. and it revitalizes me.

Not sure what I'll have for dinner yet, will have to wait and see.

OK.. it's been a few days.. I sorta dropped outta my rountine of going gym eating right... so gained a little bah! I gain as fast as i lose. anyways tomorrow morning back too it.. gym crazy and prep myself for the 6week Continuation challenge. Thats located in the Challenge forums!

Goodnight peoples :D

the challenge starts tomorrow!!!
im really excited!!!

hehe i hope you "prepped" the challenge!
good luck!

Hey Dom!!
Good on you for starting the battle of the bulge at a younger age rather than waiting till later when the weight is harder to shift. I did the same thing when I was 17-18y/o. I dont know the exact amount of weight I lost but I know I dropped 5 pant sizes and 4 dress sizes in 6 months. So yes you can do it!! I hit a rough patch after I had my daughter and gained it all back and more but I am back on track, fighting the good fight so to say!!
Like you, I have started the challenge today!! I hope you are off to a good start. And I love the banner you made for the challenge! Good luck and I am sure I will see you around!
kc ;p
