Doing short weight sessions cold.

Quick bit of advice please, I'm just getting back into training and will be doing proper gym work in aditon to this, but do find that not having agym partner I get bored quickly.

I have some dumbells at home and to try and save a bit of gym time have been doing the odd bicep curl and tricep exstension.... Generally 2 sets of 10 reps most days. Is this beneficial? Will I get better results finding an extra 10 minutes gym time to fit these into?
