Doing everything I can and failing :*(

I would like to explain the plan I'm on and get some criticism...


In 2006 I went on the Atkins diet ... I weighed 210lbs and lost 70 that year.... I maintained 135lbs for the past 4 years.... until this spring... I have gradually gotten up to 152....now im not currently following any diet plan persay however I eat high protein , and little to no processed carbs.... over the last few months I've toyed with going stricter low carb :( no change... and my calories were up around 16-1900 a day... so then about 6weeks ago I went to the DR. she told me to eat the foods i was eating but drop my calories to 1500 and excercise more... ok well 6 weeks later of running/rebounding, weights and random calistenichs ( 45 minutes a day 5 days a week) plus I add in daily walks at work... I have gained a lb... Went back to DR this week told her... she says Im just complaining and im healthy leave it alone... and If I want i may have to drop my cals to 1200 to get results since im close to healthy weight... heres my food plan for today...I have decided to cut cheese for the next few weeks and am debating coffee as I hear is can be a set back food...



Breakfast

2 oz almonds 320cals

1 Cup Hood Calorie conscious milk 70cals




Lunch


Protein shake (2tbs cream cheese, 1 scoop whey, flax seed, splenda, 1 cup flavored water) total 190cal


5 pieces of bacon (bad choice lots of sodium ) 340 cals



Snack

1 low carb whole wheat tortilla 120 cals

1 hard boiled egg

Dinner

1 tilapia fillet 100 cals

.5 cup green beans 40 cals


TOTAL - 1250



Being Sunday todays my slow day I went for a long walk (3 miles this morning) and now im doing house cleaning...


Why am I gaining :( should I lower it even ? Please insight would be so helpful what can I drink??
 
In addition I am 5'5 and 24 years old...:) I have had two children.... and am trying to reach a goal by January 2012 of 140 ish :) ....

That's without using any cooking oil, butter, sauce, condiments/spreads.

I see that you are calculating the amount of calories in your day but you should also consider fat grams. We need fat in our diet but in a certain amount. I also eat 1200/day since I'm a bit short and am 144lbs. Therefore I eat 40 grams of fat per day. You want to be somewhere around 25% - 35% of your daily calorie intake from fat per day and less than 7% from saturated fat.

Questions and Tips
1.) Do you eat vegetables and fruits (besides the .5 cup green beans that you had today)?
2.) How much water do you drink a day?
 
I would agree with you .. on the fat ... I realized how high it was as I posted :)... Im so use to doing atkins where the sky is the limit... tomorrow will be a better day... do you think the amount of excercise im doing per week is adequate? I am not drinking as much water as I should but am also working on it... Also do you think if I stick with 1250 a day for a few weeks/ month i'll see a change?
