Im not sure if this is in the right place, if not mods please move

Im 22
223 pounds
4ft 10 (eek)
lost 15 pounds so far
6 pounds off 1st target

i go to the gym mon, wed, fri, sat and sunday, go on the tredmill for a half an hour and the stepper(elicaptor or something its called) for 15 mins as reccommended by a trainer. Also mon wed and fri i clean in the mornings so its 2 hours of mopping and sweeping

I eat around 1300 cals a day and eat as much fruit and veg as i can

Does that sound ok?

Thanks

are you counting the fruits and vegetables in your daily calories?

i'd strongly suggest reading the stickied threads in nutrition - your calories seem quite low given your current weight - and also read the stickied threads in exercise and ask questions based on that... all cardio all the time isn't your most long term efficient way of losing weight and having it stay off - you really should incorporate strength training in there as well

Princess,

I'd eat just a little bit more you need to be around 1500 cals. If you can try and spread your fodd intake over the day. So that you are eating small but often. This will help your metabolism run more and hopefully burn more calories. As for the exersize keep it up, if you can do anymore even if it's small things like walking to the shops etc it all adds up.

Appart from that keep up the good work.

that's more myth than fact...

it's total calories consumed during the day that matter... 1 meal, 3 meals, 12 meals... a person should eat how they are most comfortable...

yes i count my fruit and veg in with my daily cals

I was told that by my trainer and i said i want to wait until i lose another stone before i start weight training so he said once i do that he will give me strenght training too

Also forgot to mention i do Ab exercises at the gym too

i walk most places- to and from work, to and from the gym etc and when im in town i get about 2 hours of walkin around but i dont count that in as its just general walking around ya know:)

Why do you want to wait for strength training?

and does your trainer know how low your calorie count is?

Have you hit any stalls in your weight loss at all?

ive only been at it a month no stalls yet and i have changed from another exercise routine to this one as it wasnt tiring me out any more. i want to wait because i am the kind of person that if i gain muscle(and muscle weighs more than fat) and the scales shows im heavier ill give up.

Bit sad but thats the kind of person i am unfortunatly

you need to get over that pretty quickly...

Do you walk around with a sign on your back sayin you weigh XXXX??

i sure hope not...

people see what you look like - not what you weigh - muscle will make your body tighter... and more compact...

Really good point. My scale hasn't budged for a week and I was beginning to spaz a bit. I saw some neighbors yesterday and the first thing they said was "wow, are you losing weight?" Ah....made me feel great. The scale might not be moving at the moment, but things are changing. The number on the scale is not everything!

You need to look into the benefits of weight training in a weight loss application. Basically you are saying "I want to wait a while before I start losing more weight"
