Does this sound like an ok cardio workout?

I walk for like 45 minutes a day none stop. then I do 100 jumping jacks, and I run for 5 minutes.

Can somebody give me a few more good cardio work outs you can do at home, without any kind of exercise machine..And I dont do any kind of karate..I might get a boxing bag..

Is boxing a cardio work out...
And is swimming a cardio work out...(the water is between cold/ and warm) Idk if thats a consern or not

Swimming is indeed a cardio workout. It doesn't really matter what temp, as long as your heart is getting worked. Boxing is a cardio workout as well, but more along the lines of shadowboxing. Check out the other threads about cardio/boxing...there's like a million of em.

At home, you can just run for a while, then sprint, then jog, the run backwards, etc. Just have fun with it and make sure your heartrate is elevated. You can do anything to want, really. If folding laundry really fast gets your heart and lungs working, go ahead and do it.

are you sure a few people dont me swimming doesnt count when it comes to losing weight unless its in warm water

I've never heard of anything of the sort. I've had experience with swimming in cold water, the more you swim, the warmer it gets. The only way you're going to stay cold while treading water/not swimming hard enough is peeing.

Of course there is an exception. If the water is too cold for you to operate, then it's too cold. Likewise, if the water was too warm that your skin boiled off, then it's too hot. Around 70-80 F is fine.

What in santa maria??? Ha, Try Cornwall's pebble beaches in November, 2'C thats about 35'F.

It was only for about 5seconds tho.

that sounds alright. I also know that interval training is excellent as well. on the treadmill i do 8 kph for 2 mins, and then14 kph for the next 2 mins, 8 kph 1 minute, 14 kph 2 mins, 8 kph 1 minute, 14 kph 2 minutes, 8 kph 1 minute and 14 kph 2 minutes
this makes me sweat ALOT and i feel its a very good workout.

A combo of body weight drills, combined with med ball drills, bands, jump rope etc.. done circuit style. 30 sec. on 30 sec off several times around with a 1-2 minute recovery between each circuit. As this gets easier, reduce rest intervals. Pick 5-6 drills out of a menu of 10 -15 of your favorites. This will keep your workouts interresting. I have had much success training clients in this manner, and they love the workouts as well. Check out the sample training video on this web site. It is done with sandbags and kettlebells, but can be modified to your liking.

Try some HIIT training, and cut your cardio workout time in half. Try this: jog for 30 seconds, then sprint for another 30 seconds. Jog again for 30 seconds then sprint for 30 seconds. Do that over again for a total of 4 minutes for one week (about 3 times per week). Then on each following week, increase the total time 1 extra minute each week. By the end of 8 weeks you should be doing a total of 15 minutes. You'll burn more calories in this short period of time than in the entire hour of cardio you're doing now.
