Im a 14 yr old skater.. i skate about 1-4 hours a day.. and work out.. i eat right.. Does SkateBoarding really help me loose my Stomach fat and build my leg muscles?
skateboarding, roller blading, or ice skating?
They will all help you lose some fat, as you will be burning calories while performing them.
Skateboarding would use the least amount of calories as you do a lot of "gliding", compared to the other 2.
But the pushing off will be good for the legs.
If it IS skateboarding, do skateboarders always push with the same leg?
hmmmmm
Wes
I don't know about you, but around here there aren't many.
Perhaps it's because most skaters are active for many hours a DAY doing something they consider fun ( which is a heck of lot more better for you than watching TV )
Keep doing what you like, and if it isn't working for you, then maybe add a lil cardio in somewhere.
Ghost,
FANTASTIC point about being outside and away from the TV!
Green Day, even though sweat does not=burning calories, the fact that you are constantly moving, doing tricks, etc, will mean you are burning calories!
At this point i no im not fat.. i got 15 people in person to say im not fat..
Dont really see no fat skaters lol... Aight ill keep up the work.. i usally am never near a tv lol well thanks guys ill keep the diet up and skate thanks
Hey im a 13 (14 in a month) yr old skateboarder to,
i skate when ever i can and i am loseing weight from it. mostly all i do now is skate all day and dont eat much. it may seem weird but im like never hungry when/after i skate. Skateing 4 hrs a day is alot in this 90-100 degree weather, i sweat so bad my shirt will be shoked past my stomach.
also if you skate in this hot weather try going swimming afterwards cause it cools you off and burns fat as well...
if you want to talk me IM me on aol at sk8tboar
P.S. about the skateing is better for loseing weight then skateboarding, i find that not true based on the type of bearings you use...if you have really crappy bearing you will not stroll along at ALL, and the better the bearings the less work you do....i find my brother (an extreme skater) doing alot less work then me for going anywhere
