Does Riding a Stationary Bike Burn Belly Fat?

I work out at home. I ride a stationary bike everday for 40 minutes. Can I lose weight by riding that bike? Or are there more exercises that I need to do to burn belly fat? And also I lift weights (8 kgs), does it help to burn fat? Thanks in advence.
 
Firstly, you cannot spot reduce, when you loose fat you have no control over where it is lost from. Yes you can loose fat from using the bike but only if you are not eating too much, you cannot exercise away a bad diet.

Lifting weights does not burn much fat directly but it is important for maintaining muscle and to look good once the fat is gone. If you loose muscle then your metabolism is adversely affected and it will be harder to loose fat.
 
I think I should diet and exercise more. Bike isn't enough. I can't motivate myself to workout. Because I don't believe that I can loose weight. I want to improve myself as soon as possible. I'm not a patient one. Thanks for your helpful answer.

If you're impatient to see change then you will need to do this (first and foremost) through nutrition, it's the only way the weight will come off. Some exercise is great for accelerating weight loss, other for retaining muscle but changing your nutrition is what gets rid of fat, and as trusylver said, you can't lose belly fat, you can just lose fat. Having said that it can be done quickly and safely if you dive into good nutrition and strength training so don't be disheartened, give it a shot! Good luck buddy

As you wrote, everyone loses fat all over the body. But everyone want just get rid of that ugly belly fat, because other parts look fine. That is a common misconception, that you can lose only your belly fat fast.
The best way is to increase activity, improve your meal plan, chill out and results will come. Harder you try faster you receive results.
