Does anyone need any weight loss tips?

Hi everyone. I know there are tons of people out there who need help with weight loss. I lost 127 pounds during my freshmen year of high school and have been lifting ever since ( i am currently a freshmen in college attending LMU). It is my dream to become a personal trainer, and i figured it would be a good idea to see if i can help anyone on this website with tips. if anyone has any questions go ahead and ask :). My email is Julio4888@aol.com in case you need it. Thanks

Ok i have a question, I seem to have forgotten how many Carbons and double bonds Arachidonic Acid contains. Do you know? Also do you know the Chain length of Myristic Acid? And can you explain the metabolism of lipids process?

What about Vitamins, Are A<D<E<F<K Water or Fat soluble? Oh and beyond Vitamins can you tell me the difference between BHT and BHA? And Redroot is that a AntiBacterial or AntiVirus? or mabye both?

And any idea on the difference between A Vegan or an Macrobiotic or maybe even a Lacto-ovo Vegetarian?

And i always forget this one, What is the difference between the labeling Low-fat and reduced fat???

Hey,
Here is the question:
How to reduce the fat in the thighs and buttocks area ? Im a new comer and starter for the fitness programes.

THank u

Yea he is right. It's all about mixing in cardio, dieting and lifting together. Squats and lunges work wonders for the areas you are asking about. Also if you belong to a gym, there will be tons of machines that are specifically designed for the areas you need. Butt blasters, thigh squeezers, you name it. Heck you dont even need weights, grab a tree branch, a baseball bat, and squat with it. Or for thighs just lay on the floor on your side, lift one leg straight up keeping the other leg slightly behind you, repeat the motion. Its easy and it burns oh so good.

Not to be mean, I would never discourage someone from following their dream and I truly hope it comes together for you, but having seen your recent questions don't you think your time would be better spent studying and truly understanding the craft?

Also those butt blaster and glute master machines are not only unsafe but ineffective. Just saying if you truly care about being a trainer one of the first rules is knowing when to not give advice because you could be hurting someone by the advice you give.

i see. now if these machines were classified as harmful, why are they sitting in some of the nations most popular and trusted gyms? They are not innefective nor are they dangerous. Any machine or excercise you use can be dangerous. Machines are specifically designed to prevent dangerous occurences. I did not create this thread to have people come on and question my ideas or credibility, i am just trying to give people tips who have struggled with weight loss.

I am not going to throw to much time into this because you can't handle polite constructive advice. For the record though...

Because machines like the glute master are highly targeted towards women who are afraid of lifting weights. They see a machine like this and they feel like they too have a place in the gym.

I agree that any exercise you can do if done wrong can be dangerous. Machines however are not designed to prevent danger, in fact some machine designs increase risk even if your use of it is in proper form. Take smith machines and pattern overload. Or lets take the Butt Blaster. The main target of the Butt Blaster is supposed to be the glutes. However instead of work in movement with hip flexors the position of your body only allows for movement in lumbar extension. Continuous strain and over activation of this area can lead to problems with your pelvic and lower back areas.

I don't NEED to attack anyones credibility. I could care less what you choose to do with your own body or profess for others on your own time what to do with their body. That is your business to do so, and there fault for believing. I do however take pride as do others on this forum to protect the people to the best of our ability from incorrect information.

I love this woman, and I mean that in the non-creepiest way possible. :D

Jbone, having lost lots of weight doesn't make anyone an expert in weight loss. I've lost roughly the same amount of weight you have over the course of my life, yet I'm still pretty uncomfortable giving people advice on anything to do with exercise. For now I stick to nutrition, for which I feel there are basic, somewhat universal, rules.

I admire your intent to help others, but it really can do more harm than good to advise others before you are a sanctioned expert..or repeating/applying the advice of someone else who definitely knows what they're talking about. (The reason I mention this is that machines clearly suck, and you're recommending them. Better to advise persons new to exercise to do it right in the first place than to just do it, though there is something to be said for just getting off your ass and doing it, for sure).
