Do you think this machine is worth it?

I wouldn't trust it... I saw one of their ads in a fitness magazine. The 'before' and 'after' photos, upon close inspection, were very, very suspect.

I have a similar machine at home... and it sits in the corner and hardly touched at all. The reason is because it's too hard to concentrate on making your back pretty straight enough and keeping the lifting even. and pretty soon i find that i'm cheating cuz i'm leaning on the handle too much. Doing crunches on the floor is still the best for me!

NO i wouldnt get that myself.
personally i dont believe in it and plus whats the point it's not gonna do anything to you except waste money and time. Why not just do normal situps and crunches and eat good foods plus the guy in the picture.. i dont think he got his 6 pack from a machine.

I would highly recommend NOT getting this machine. For the fact that you are lying down completely taking all your stabilization muscles and letting them lay down too. And you will NOT get a 6-Pack or loss weight from just using this machine. In order to get those results you need a healthy "diet", a proper cardio program, and a proper weight lifting program.

Just think of what you are trying to train your body to do. If you're trying to teach it to be really good at trunk flexion, get the machine. But if you move around, carry things, change in direction. You need to be doing more exercises like Stability Ball Crunches, Lunge w/ Med. Ball Twist, Med. Ball Woodchops, etc..

Body by Jake Ab Scissor Review

I was wondering the same thing. I looked around the internet and found a pretty neat review. What do you guys think?

And that's all there is to it.. no fancy equipment, no $$ needed. Just determination.

Don't trust them too much

It is possible for this device to work but don't trust too much in what they say. If you want a machine for the abs i would recommend to you the AB KING PRO, it's very effective if you work out with it regularly and correctly, I felt the result myself , visit for more info.

You can do the exact same exercize on a chair or low table or you can just do crunches and leg raises on the floor. totally redundant machine

waste of money. If you want to spend your money wisely, get a trainer or online training. Money MUCH better spent!

LMAO... that Ab King Pro is such junk... that made my day :p

hmm.. first off, love the picture of the person from the side, back isn't supported putting them in a lovely anterior tilt... and then the abdominals only do about 45 degrees of trunk flexion, etc... eh, I'm not going to waist my breath... Listen to gymcoach, have a trainer design a FULL program, calculate RMR, etc... for you for that price... get a lot more out of it... unless you want to be really good bending in half...

I don't think so Tim. Buy a Cardio Machine, Gym Membership, Professional Trainer etc that's an insane price for an "ab" machine.
