Really strict diets don't work for the majority of people any time of the year...It is so difficult to be on a strict diet again after christmas.

One thing you can do is build muscle mass. If you increase your muscle mass you burn more calories even when you're not doing anything. Of course any exercise you can do will help.

What is your food plan like? what's so strict about it? Make some modifications to it so that you can follow it
So in the morning I eat only carbohydrates and no proteins. For lunch I am allowed to have both and in the evening I eat nothing but proteins. And between the meals you are not allowed to eat anthing for five hours.
