Diet side effects

I've never really dieted before. I basically just ate whatever I want, which was fine as I was younger, but since I left the Army, I put on weight way too fast for my liking. I'm finishing up my third day on the diet, and a couple of things are bugging me.

First of all, I have a minor headache throughout the day. It's more annoying than painful. I don't want to live on Exedrin, so I've just been dealing with it. Another problem I've been having is with my sleep. I'm having a lot of trouble getting full nights of sleep. I keep sleeping in 1-2 hour short bursts (notice the post time). I've had problems before with sleep which were generally stress induced. I'm thinking that me worrying about my sleep is causing the problem.

I know I'm not starving myself, but the caloric intake is pretty low. I estimated it at around 1500 per day. I do workout everyday at the gym for about an hour and a half, mixing cardio with weight training. I was doing the same workouts before, but I wasn't watching my diet at all. I'm wondering if maybe my calories being too low could be causing my issues.
 
1500 calories, especially if you're working out for 1.5 hours everyday, sounds too low, but more importantly, I imagine the Hydroxycut probably has something to do with your headache and inability to sleep properly.

I'm starting to feel a lot better after a good nap during the day. I have a feeling it has to do with my internal clock being stuck out of whack. I'm going to start taking melatonin near bedtime to see if that helps.
 
yeh 1500 cals is too low! When I first started on a clean healthy diet I had the same problem sleeping. Whta I found was if I had a fat free or natural yogurt before bed I slept better as hunger will keep you awake! Headaches are usually a sign of dehydration or lack of energy! Do you drink alot of water throughout the day?
