Diet problems

I'm 14 years old and i'm watching what i eat so i can hopefully shed excess lbs. I've heard that i should eat 5-6 meals a day, but when i do that, i gain lbs. I don't excersise daily, but i'm trying to improve because it's more like a chore nowdays than fun. I think i'm eating too many calories but when i add them up, they equal what several calorie counters say i should have. Should I watch how much sugar i eat, or what? Should i eat less calories per meal? How many should I eat? Is there a way to make excersising fun for me? I know all this doesn't fit in this catogory, but can you give me some advise?

Watch the evening meals, don't let them be to big and lay off breads, pastas and fruit late in the day. Also, you may have a slow metabolism so you may have to drop your daily calories. The two things to boost your metabolism is smaller healthy meals every three hours and working out...
