Diet plan plus workout. Is this safe?

I was wondering if i could go on a seven day soup and vegetables diet and workout at the same time and take my daily protein mix ? Would i loose my muscle mass by a lot? I currently weigh 162 and my height is 5' 8 pounds and i have recently gained weight even though i workout. I guess i am building muscle. But I wanted to loose 10 pounds so i want to go on a soup diet for seven days to loose a bit of weight. I was wondering if i would loose a lot of muscle mass? Is this safe? also could i take whey protein while on this diet. Please no BS answers. If any health or personal trainers would help me out on this one.I would appreciate it.
This is my soup meal plan.

Day One- Soup and fruit. (no bananas)
Day Two- Soup and vegetables (no dry beans, peas or corn), and then a baked potato with butter at dinnertime
Day Three- Soup, fruit and veggies (no potato!) By today, up to seven pounds could be shed!
Day Four- Bananas (at least three) and skim milk- on this day, the body will need calcium and potassium.
Day Five- Soup, 10-20 ounces of beef and tomatoes (one can or six fresh)
Day Six- Soup and as much beef and veggies you want
Day Seven- Soup, brown rice, veggies, unsweetened fruit juice

I'm not an expert, but many rave about the Velocity Diet, look it up, it may be suitable for ya.

He's not the right candidate for the V-diet

Anyways, to put it simple OP. Yes, with that carb heavy low protein diet you will lose mostly muscle. If you want to lose the last 10lbs either exercise more, lower carbs ( carb cycle, or eat a little bit less.
