Did anybody who started dieitng not lose weight at first?

Hi all,

it's been 8 days, and the scale still hasn't budged. I'm eating between 1,200-1,500 net calories a day. The scale has only gone down 1/5 of a pound. I'm hoping it's because of salt...:lurk5: Did anyone have a similar experience when beginning a new diet?

I forgot to mention that I get some exercise everyday. Some days I will burn 700 calories, some days only 250 calories (through cardio). I do strength training twice a week as well. I've been in this exercise habit for about 3 months now, I've just had a hard time changing my diet.
