One common way I fear of getting hurt is rolling my ankle, not because it's normally that bad of an injury compared to many other possible injuries but because it is easy to do, especially if one runs on uneven ground or tries to cut too intensely while playing sports. Fortunately, I seem to have fairly strong ankles that seem to be pretty good at protecting themselves from injury---they seem to be able to react to rolling fast enough to avoid injury, but as I hope to be better at cutting while playing ultimate next year (and plan to wear cleats more often to do so), I would like to strengthen my ankles more, if possible, so that they can handle more while preventing rolling or twisting. Are there exercises and other things one can do to build up ankle strength and resilience?
