Defining Core

Hey,

I'm a 20 year old male university student, I weigh 143lb and am 5'8". I have been working out for about 6 months consistently and have lost ~25lb of fat and have put on some muscle. My main concern is that I have defined my arms and lost a lot of fat overall, however, my chest and stomach remains undefined. I do HIT training 3x a week and do weight training the other 3 days now and have not noticed any difference. My diet is composed of oatmeal, brown rice, whole wheat bread etc. I have a good idea about nutrition and weight lifting but don't know what to do to define my core and get a 6 pack that is visible. I have strong abs but they are underneath my layer of fat :). I was wondering if anyone has any ideas on what is the best way to get rid of the last little bit of fat or any books or programs which are ideal for my situation. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
JJ

Defining abs

Some of the best exercises to define abs can be found in yoga poses. Boat pose, in particular, is great! There's a short book called "Yoga Abs" that's available through Amazon (sorry, I can't think of the author's name). It's devoted entirely to ab work. In conjunction with static poses, you need to ramp up your cardio workouts to burn off the fat that's covering up that six-pack. Good luck! JH
