Hey to everyone who has taken the time to read my thread
I will start with a brief background about myself. I am a 21 year old male from England but currently living in Thailand. I have a slim build and have found it hard to actually put on any great amount of weight, until my first year of university that is. I acquired a 'beer belly' from eating too many take aways and doing little to no exercise, but my overal frame was still slim. If you have seen the grinch then maybe you can understand after seeing how jim kerry looks in that film
apart from being green. Anyway here is what I have been doing to try and get into shape for the last month. I have a few questions about my routine etc, so if anyone could help I would be much appreciative 
I attend a gym every other day and do an hour work out. I do 20 minutes of weights and muscle work, then 20 minutes on a running machine or 15 minutes on a rowing maching, then finish with another 20 minutes of weights. Do I need to mix up my routine each time or is it okay to do the same thing? I do work most of my muscle groups that I am aware of. My main area that I am most 'greay' about is food. I have heard that oatmeal before a workout is good, but then I have also heard that it is bad for toning and building muscle.. I have read that you need to consume protein and carbs within an hour prior to a workout, for my build about 35 grams of protein, is this correct? Is it even possible to lose weight around the belly and build muscle at the same time? My last question is how long will it be before I start to see a loss in my beer belly lOl. thanks for your time and hope to read any replies, regards tom
