Dealing with sugar cravings

Hi everyone,

Sugar cravings are pretty bad today and I caved a little and got sweets, trying to not to make it a habit of it though. Are many people also suffering with cravings for sweets or fatty foods? What things you do to help combat the cravings?
Sometimes I use drinking glass of green tea or glass of water to stop myself but I'd really like to know what other people use.
I look forward to the answers

I just never buy it. I was just writing in another post, if I have it in the house, I have a hard time staying away. Once I've opened a bag of something, I usually empty it the same day.

Water is a huge help, as well. I added one of those squirt things to it (very very small amount), if I'm looking for something other than just straight water.

The one strategy I'm starting to use is to have one healthy meal each day. This meal consists of a lean protein, healthy fat and fiber. I read once that cravings are formed by the taste buds because of the regularity in which we eat sugar or salt. However, the taste buds can be reprogrammed to crave healthy food. The one step you have to take is to eat a healthy meal each day that is made up of the nutrients I mentioned. I know this isn't a "WOW" answer, but it sure has helped me eliminate my cravings. Hope this helps.
