Well ive never actually written a proper blog or a diary before, so this should be interesting. Its probably not the best time to be starting my weight loss crusade as I have tests for university tomorrow, so have been studying and stressing over the past few days. I figure though, when is a good time to start, for me there never seems to be that 'right' time, I've always got something on that sidetracks me, but then I have to realise that that is life. Im just going to have to do this. Well my first day I have to admit, has been pretty lazy, been in my bed all day studying (I find my bed the best place to study!) but after tomorrow I plan to be a little more active than I have been in the past few days. I am going to start a weekly plan, of what I plan to do in the way of exercise, and also include my daily foodintake and weekly weigh in. I figure if I try and exercise 30-45 5-6 days a week for the next few weeks, it will give me a good base and then I can slowly work my way up to longer work out times. I have a gym membership and am planning to use this, I also have a bike and hope to go for some bike rides, and going for swims too. Added to this, I have a few things at home that may help me, using my Nintendo Wii Fit, and AbKing Pro although I might just do this as extra as I dont think they actually add much in the way of actual fitness. As the weather gets warmer, still winter/autumn over here in New Zealand, I may start going for walks too, although this is not something I really enjoy. So I have a wide variety of exercising I can do, so hopefully I will not become bored!
So back to day one, heres what Ive eaten as of 9.15pm
Breakfast: 3x Crumpets with light coating of honey (bad I know, but didnt feel like porridge this morning) a cup of coffee
Snack: Grapes and 2x low GI snack right biscuits
Lunch: 2x cruskits with marmite and cheese, 1x mandarin
Snack: 1x apple, yoghurt, small slice of cheese
Dinner: Pasta and mince leftovers had two servings as I was hungry a while after I had the first.
Snack: Grapes and 2x low GI snack right biscuits, cup of tea
Probably had too much too eat for dinner, well all day really, but was feeling really hungry today. So thats me for my first day of my 'new life' a healthier life. I really just need to get my portions under control, exercise more and hopefully ill start seeing some results!
