Darn you, Freshman 15!!!!

Well, ok. I didn't actually gain 15 pounds since coming to college, but I sure feel like it! I have always been kinda on the chubby side, and I was ok with it. I never really saw my weight as an issue until my boyfriend dumped me, and immediately started going out with a thinner girl.

Yeah, it sucks, but I am over it, and it was a real wake-up call about my weight. I have been trying to avoid fast food, but I really don't know the first thing about dieting outside of "don't eat so much" lol. If anyone has any tips for a beginner like me, let me know!

Boys suck . . sometimes. . most of the time. . but you only need one good one, right? So the odds are in your favor.

The only way I know to lose weight is cut back portions, cut out the snacking, watch the fatty foods, and exercise more.

There are far more knowledgeable people on this board that will give you advice. I just wanted to say welcome and look forward to hearing more from you!

Cut out sugar! You could cut hundreds of calories a day from your diet, by simply excluding a chocolate bar or a donut or similar.
