Dancing in the Rain!!

Tomorrow will be my first day on a long long journey to my own idealism of me!! I have roughly 6 stone to shift in total but my main focus is about 10% at the minute which is 2 stone and hopefully will do it 2 stone at a time!! Im enrolled at gym and have been going 2/3 times a week but college 4 days a week 16 hours at work, with a home and family to care for I feel when i get hungry i want something that instant or the fact i haven't stopped and sleep deprived I cant be bothered to cook something. I'm going to choose a motivational saying most days to help me through as for me they do work. Like dancing in the rain, so tomorrow Im cutting all the crap and cut down on the diet cokes as i know it isnt that great for me. I have to shop for a dress for my university interviews next week and completely dreading it :( but Im determined to find a lovely dress that flatters my huge fuller figure!! Think im gunna have poached eggs for brekkie :)

When you get a chance to cook, cook several portions more than your need and freeze them individually for later quick use. helps to keep things healthy.

Do you have a slow cooker? Those things are a busy mom's life saver. fill it, turn it on, go to work, come home and dinner is done.

I use to have a slow cooker but was petrified it didnt work and was going to poison myself lol plus never really knew any recipes :s I would invest if i knew recipes?

Today was a bit crappy but no where near as appalling as i normally would be. So I basically had 2 small dinners minus the mash and gravey roast dinners, a small slice of toast with chicken paste, two jaffa cakes (50 cals each), and a SNICKER *face palm*. I usually eat absolutly loads I pick all day at junk. I was out all day shopping for my two University interviews next week. Ive already made mine and hubbies salad for dinner tomorrow and planning to have eggs poached or just whites omellete with no milk for brekkie.

Salad consists of half a bag of little leaves (dont know what leaves they are bought bag out of convience and they are organic) half a chicken breast a slither of feta crumbled (less than 30g) half a small sweet orange pepper, 4 cherry tomatoes, two mushrooms and half a chicken breast i think its just boiled. Tomorrow teatime may be problematic as Im at work which is a social club may pop in to M&S on way and get a prepped salad with no dressing or stuff to make a jacket :) Im not discouraged :)

Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could. Some blunders and absurdities no doubt crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day; begin it well and serenely and with too high a spirit to be cumbered with your old nonsense - my qoute for the day!

Lovely quote, and your salad sounds awesome. I just google search for slow cooker recipes with under 300 calories per serving and get some good ones. Theres a chicken enchilada with black bean that I've been craving for a while and I just might have to make it this week. If I dig out the recipe I'll post it here for you.

Well this morning I slept in by 30 mins :( so ran round like a lunatic getting ready, skipped breakfast and hubby forgot to get salads out of fridge but i remember just before we left the drive ran back in and then when got out of car forgot to pick it up  had a diet coke in class and got an early finish as teacher is off and Ive finished all my work!! So popped in M&S got a lovely honey roast lochmuir salmon and prawn salad and it was absolutely lovely!!

Salad, Cals 225, Sug 6.7g, Fat 5.4g, S,Fat 1.3g, Salt 1.3g thats what it says on tub and includes the dressing which i didnt eat. I bought another one of those too which i will eat later today while im at the Club, Im feeling the need to snack at the moment and got lots of crisps, nuts, etc around to taunt me

I will be strong but its baby steps might pop to the fruit and veg stall and get some cherries or grapes and some carrot to snack on. The trouble with me is I adore fruit and veg so it isnt hard to eat this type of food its the cravings for junk food that I tend to struggle with!!

Quote for today - The more difficulties one has to encounter, within and without, the more significant and the higher in inspiration his life will be.

Aww thanks oldskool :) i find it helps :) Im gunna have a look a little later today i have to go collect some orders now. See if i can price one up on my travels!! xx

Ive been on a binge fest i would say!!! :nopity:

I came back from shops just after 4 ate my other salad, Ive just been to shops which suprisingly I was really good considering everywhere i looked there was easter eggs and cakes and BREAD. Got stuff to make a smootie, bananas, fat free yog, manuka honey, peanut butter and some seeds. Got bk to the club made a "smoothie" it was more like an ice cream works out at 263 calories which not to bad. I popped in other shop and got some lean ham slices and chicken breast and ive literally sat here and ate the full 12 slice :( works out around the 300 cals mark then i proceeded to eat a slimming world bar (they have there session on a wednesday in the club but setup today) 119 calories.

Still leaves me around the 1200 ish mark but i now feel ill and so annoyed with myself :cuss:

Diary for today been really busy and absolutely shattered :( two days have been okay hovering around the 1200-1300 :)

Today has been another good day, Im attempting to wean myself off diet coke, I wouldnt even like to estimate how many cans a day i drink a day. So Ive bought diet caffiene free coke hopefully after drinking this for a week it will cushion the blow. Got the same sort of salad at college today etc minus the egg (didnt realise how many calories was in one) so it was cous cous, with carrots and a lean slicce of ham and i had my usual naughty snack of 3 jaffa cakes. Tea time was grilled butterflied chicken with cajun spices, also with cous cous two table spoons heaped. Also 100 g of fat free cottage cheese. I think i will be still in the area of past 2 days, i will put it in to the calorie counter! Seen a few friends at home today which was really nice and seen my friends lil boy he was lush!!

I have a proposal to finish to hand in tomorrow its on euthanasia. Still have alot to do :( So cheerio for now!!

They actual aren't to bad compared to other biscuits. There have abit of everything in them - Sponge so i get my bit of cake a day. Chocolate covered top (dark) - Better than eating a chocolate bar and the orange jelly under the chocolate well is just yummy. I could quite easily previously eat a box just watching tv but i have the control now and I aint going to lie it feels good to say no.... I think to myself that last week saying no to food and treats was incredibly difficult and i would feel so ashamed and guilty i would just carry on eating the box and then probably get more!

So I am feeling empowered!!

Don’t ask yourself what the world needs, ask yourself what makes you come alive. And then go and do that. Because what the world needs is people who are alive.

~Howard Thurman

I actually love this quote and not picked a new one in a few days, I give alot to people and often don't expect or receive anything in return. I don't help, support people, or go out my own way to do something i would rather not be doing to get something out more because thats the type of person i am, I do like to know that i have helped someone that day. However I very rarely do something for me, I returned to college in September and my family said yeah we will totally support you ( Im part of a family with business and I play a part in the management of these) but they were just words. My hubby is totally supportive, he had to be as i support and help him understand he was capable of achieve everything he wanted and he is now on his 2nd year at university doing instrument control engineering he left school with very little academically. I'm so proud of him :D Any hoot I told my mother i was dropping a day of responsibility as my college and hopefully progress to uni and hopefully become a emergency nurse practitioner or even maybe eventually a doctor is more important for me and my family!

I have the worst headache ever I have an inclining it is the lack of caffeine, its making me jumble of lot of my words and i have my proposal to finish!!

Hubby made me a lovely dinner of grilled chicken with chopped tomatoes, 1 tortilla wrap bread, and a large side salad and some fat free cottage cheese. Im marinading some salmon so tonight it honey roasted salmon and maybe cous cous? with season veg.

Hubby has lost about 5/6 lbs so far this week, he is extremely active he does mma and we are half we constructing a gym in our garage he has matted the majority out so can train every day now just waiting for the treadmill, bike and weights and bench to be put in there I would to get a cross trainer.

I think im out of training for 6 ish weeks as damaged cartilage in knee joint may have to go for MRI yet but not too worried im gunna try get some swimming in this week. I weigh myself again on scales last night and said i have put 2 lbs on but this is only my 4th day sticking to the 1200/1300 diet and i have just started my cycle so may just be that but next tuesday morning i better have lost weight lol!!

[/quote]

I've made a rule of NEVER weighing myself on cycle. I can balloon up 5-6 lbs in a day but it all comes off and more about two days after its all over.

And. NEVER! call a Jaffa cake a buscuit! Its a cake and therefore doesn't get the VAT tax ;) wikipedia...Lol!

O yeah I think that applies here too!! I remember the argument it was on the news it has sponge thus a cake not a biscuit. Yeah maybe i should make that rule for myself, previous to having jake I know when i was dieting I would have two weeks of great loss and two weeks of not so great. I'm not going to get to worked up about it if I dont have a great loss next week, as I know it will be down to my period and they are still all over from finally getting jake off the boob. I know i have been doing great, Ive just had a super tea honey roasted salmon, 2 new potatos sliced, with a swede and carrot mash no butter just mashed together and it was lovely, and a 1/3 of the plate was empty and im full up ive stopped eating after 7 ish and usually this prime time for picking on junk food.

your post on the calories in an egg surpised me. I didnt realize they had that many calories. I will have to check the supermarket and see if the eggs in a carton with no yolks are less. kinda upset now ive had alot of eggs these past few days.
