HI,
I just wanted to share some tips ..
CUT BACK THE FAT!
Cookies, candies, chips, frozen treats and fried foods top the list of
fatty foods, as they contain a lot of carbohydrates and fats. However,
fat-free does not necessarily mean calorie free. Some fat-free foods
contain just as many calories as in a candy bar, so it is important to
know which foods to eat so you can cut back the fat in your diet.
Always –
Eat a lot of fresh fruits, veggies, and whole grains. They all contain
minimal amounts of fat, and aid in digestion as well. Think of meat as
a side dish rather then a main course. Bake, broil, steam, roast,
poach, stir-fry, or microwave food. Avoid fried foods and use cooking
techniques that require little to no fat. Remember to trim the fat off
meat and always drain off fat after browning. Try meals with pasta,
rice, beans, and/or vegetables. Chill soups and stews after cooking so
as to skim off the fat that rises to the top when it cools. Avoid
sauteing foods in oil. Use chicken broth or water instead. Create low
calorie meals by using more vegetables and less meat. Use small amounts
of lean meat, poultry, or fish in its place.
