I accidentally deleted pics of me at my higher weight, CHECK OUT POSTING http://weight-loss.fitness.com/before-after-between/10851-curvie-girlie-158-138-lbs-8.html#post543914--but these pics are from April 2007! Since then I re-gained and lost again, and am currently stuck about a few pounds heavier than this, my new goal for 2009 is 135 lbs:

Your pics look amazing! Congrats on the weight loss... I also think it's wicked that look so toned... can you give some info about your eating/working out habits? I'm pretty close to my weight loss goals, but I need some advice/motivation to lose the last 10-15 pounds!

Let's see, what worked for me was: eating 5-6 times a day, but small portions of whole foods. Hmmmm, about 2200-1700 calories a day, depending on what I was doing. I usually worked out 6-7 days a week, though....and two days a week was Strictly Weight Training--full body for an entire hour, with as heavey weights as possible and free weights whenever possible. Cardio days were kickboxing for an hour or running in the forest for 45-55 minutes. The ways in which I would do cardio including a sort of HIIT pattern as well--heartrate very high and lower, intermittantly.

Thanks everyone! This forum helped me greatly! :D

WAY TO GO! I am so glad you posted your method, it alerts people to the fact that you do get amazing results lifting and eating higher calories.

You look amazing!

Thanks! Yes! Eating enough apparently works, I found!! But I eat very well--lots of whole grains, fish, veggies, berries, fruits, avocados, nuts, and I try to make sure every meal has the right proportions of that. I DO drink too much though...

Yeah, I also eat dark chocolate almost every day *blushing*. I'm not perfect but I still managed to lose about 5 lbs a month, which is supposed to be healthy and also increases you chances of keeping it off (so I've read). Oh yeah, aside from exercising I keep active all day long--I use house chores to my advantage. My house is cleaner and I burn even more calories (plus my boyfriend is happy about that, too; )

Hey - you look fantastic! You don't look skinny - just slim, fit and healthy! Amazing views - that must have been a great hike!

New pictures. Good job CG. All of that hard work you've put in is really showing.

You looks wonderful! All of your hard work really payed off, and you have so much to be proud of. I love that you posted your workouts and meals. I eat similar foods. Where do you find the time to work out so much? What is your mainentnce plan?

Thanks Britta!

I work 8:30-5pm Monday through Friday. I have Wine Class on Thursday nights--other than that, I don't have any other responsibilities--no kids, no one to look after....hmmmm, I'm not active in the community, though. Maybe soon. But I usually work out right after work, and sometimes before work on Thursdays or any days I have an appointment or whatnot. Weekends are Paying Attention to Friends Day, where I'll go and visit my buddies or have them over. Also I go to my hometown in the East Bay to visit my folks and oldschool friends. On weekends like those, I try to hike--because my family and friends all enjoy hiking, thank goodness :) Maintainance plans? Probably going to gradually increase calories over the course of a few weeks--looks like for my age, goal weight, and activity level (granted I don't stop working out) I could eat 1900-2200 calories a day--hell yes!!

Isn't that close to the same caloric intake you have been eating? Isn't it great that we can eat such great food and still have some room to splurge without going over our limit? I have a hard time eating 1900 while on track. It's only when I eat very unhealthy foods that I go over. It's really very easy if you get into a good routine, which it sounds like you did. Good job!

Yeah, it is about what I have eaten. Although, the first month I ate more like 2000-2500 calories a day! Second month, more like 1900-2200, thrid month 1700-2100. Last week I was trying to eat 1500 but I couldn't-more like 1600-1700. I'm bummed out a little because I think I need to stay around 1550-1800 to get to my goal--but I'm undecided if I want to do that yet

Whatever you do, just know that you look amazing to everyone. Do it for yourself, and if you really want to, you will. You know you can if you really want it. :D

Thank you! I have been finding myself more often telling people, "You can do anything if you put your mind to it!" in daily life, whenever people express doubts or insecurities--how cheesy, huh?
