Curious... For people that have reached their goal weight...

My exsperience so far is some days are easier and some
days are definatly harder.I had alot more easier days in the
beginning now I find it difficult more now.I am at a comfortable
weight but definatly not my happy weight of 145-150!
I am so looking forward to doing alot of outdoor things with my
kids and being a house hermit like last year. When I went out
last summer it was jeans and baggy t-shits even when it was in
the 90's.Not 2007! Tammy:)

I lost 48 pounds and stopped cutting around four months ago, when I reached my ideal BMI. My goal weight was 146 pounds (if I recall).

Its not the same, because I have made sure that my life is not the same as it was before I lost weight. Because I now live a more active life, exercise regular, and eat healthy food, I have not put on any weight. I weigh myself every week or two. My weight has varied from 143 pounds to 149 pounds. It varies up to four pounds either way every few weeks. Ironically, I have been eating to try and increase weight! Seriously, I am almost fed up with eating - but I am strength training three or four times per week, and you are supposed to eat excess cals and gain weight in order to gain muscle. I have been eating four to seven times per day - tonnes of good food - lean protein, lots of turkey/chicken white meat, fish, steaks, eggs, beans, lentils, fresh veggies, fruit, nuts/seeds, good oils, wholemeals, yoghurt, cottage cheese, hummus, etc. At work they laugh that the (now) skinniest bloke there always has the largest lunchbox! My metabolism is on fire!

So ... not gaining weight is sort of a mixed blessing. However, ideal BMI aside, I still have some excess fat on my belly and chest, and I would love to get rid of that after the Christmas hols or at the beginning of Spring. It does seem to be slowly reducing, but the temptation is to cut some cals and maybe step up the cardio then.

Keeping the weight off is no problem if you adopt a healthier lifestyle - it can be done, and its not a hardship.

It's not difficult keeping it off because I adopted a healthy lifestyle instead of yo-yo dieting. Most people that lose alot of weight quickly usually gain the weight back because they go back to their bad habits once they reach their target weight.
