Cubitus valgus?

I'm concerned with something in my elbow. My right elbow extends all the way, no problem. The left one however, is not able to reach the full limit of its flexion. It doesn't feel any different than the right, it just doesn't extend the full way. Id say it probably gets about 90%. The reason I'm concerned is I plan on enlisting in the Army Option 40 (ranger) and you have to score a 11111 on the PULHES system. I'm not sure what the standard is for joint flexibility, but I'm worried because I've read that it can cause elbow joint instability and the likes. Any insight?

it doesn't sound like a valgus-type issue the way you describe it.
a valgus positioning of the elbow/arm would have the forearm angled outwards (towards the thumb), if you stood with your arms extended by your sides with your palms facing forwards.

Has the one arm always been like this? Have you tried a simple bicep stretch?

If it's not keeping you from doing anything within your daily activities or causing you any pain, I wouldnt worry about it. If it's a matter to be concerned about regarding your enlisting, try carrying around a 10 pound dumbbell about 30-60 minutes a day (if it doesnt bother you).

Just a thought.
