Crew vs Swimming

Hey, I'm a college student, and I'm going to be doing a sport next year. I swam only my senior year of high school, I'm trying to get into better shape by decreasing my body fat. I'm currently about 6'1'' and 180lbs. My choice for sports are either crew or swimming. Crew is an all year sport, with practice 2.5 hours a day M-F. Swimming is 2 hours a day 4 or 5 days a week, depending on the week. Both of these require most every muscle in your body. Right now i'm cutting, but i do want to bulk and put on muscle eventually. Which sport would work well with putting on lean muscle, and cut afterwards? (I know you can't gain muscle and lose fat at the same time, i was thinking bulking and putting on muscle for the first half of the season and cutting for the spring) I know i can do all this in a gym, but i find sports make things more fun, and push me more than i could ever push myself.
