creatine headaches?

does anyone who take creatine get headaches? as soon as I started taking creatine (which was July 6th), I get these mild headaches that go on and off. Its not that bad in terms of getting through the day, but I'm wondering if there's something wrong. Maybe I shouldnt be taking it? BTW, im taking GNC creatine monohydrate.

I've been thinking about your situation.....
I have a few questions and thoughts for you.

Since the headaches started:
Are you working out harder in the gym than before?
Are you eating enough post work out?
Are you sleeping enough?

I ask because just last night I hit the gym extra hard (guilt from the long weekend/vacation I guess), I didn't eat near enough as I should have pre or post workout and of course I had a headache. I ate a late night meal and sure enough the headache went away.

Just something to think about.

am I eating post workout? yes, i make sure im never hungry and that my protein level is slightly over my body weight in grams.

Am I sleeping enough? I dont have a job, so i sleep late everyday lol. However, I've been having strange dreams (almost nightmares) everynight. but I feel good during the day except now I get these headaches.

I know what you're talking about. If you dont eat enough, you cant work out as well. But I never get a headache from that; instead my performance sucks. this headache situation happened as soon as i started taking creatine. however, I will try to drink even more water, even though I've been drinking water like a mad man. Maybe my body is adjusting to it? I dont know.
 
Wolverine... Ive tried 3 types of creatine and never experienced any headache issues.... if anything might want to try another brand? And see if you have the same problems.
 
almost certainly not creatine related unless....

you're dehydrated (creatine works kidneys a little)

is you're piss clear all the time or dark alot?
 
because I've been taking creatine, I've been drinking a lot more water. My piss is clear, clear as its ever been hehe. I havent had a headache in the past two days. I think its because my body is getting used to the creatine, or because I'm not loading creatine. I heard that loading creatine does jack s.h.i.t.
 
Clear piss is exactly what you want, when it becomes dark your dehydrated and your blood is thickening, caused by lack of hydration. Creatine is protein, our body produces creatine on a 2% level. The headaches aren't from Creatine. Lifting heavier may have caused you to change your breathing patterns and you may be holding your breath too much while you lift. Your sleeping sounds normal, a lot of people who sleep too long have nightmares.
