creatine and cutting?

hmm... I think this is the first question in all of my 600-something posts... anyways:

I'm not new to lifting heavy and eating clean. I'm currently in a cutting phase to drop some extra body fat. I'm looking into starting a creatine cycle - I've done some reading online and spoken to female bb competitors. But I am curious - is this something I should wait to start until I begin bulking? I'm unsure if the creatine will hinder any fat loss and cause weight gain.
 
from what i've read and from others have reported, as you may gain some water weight it will not hinder fat loss.
 
well it depends on your goal of cutting.. if it is to become more defined, then yeah wait until your bulking phase. but if your goal is only to drop bf% then yeah it's fine. either way its going to give you water weight, and make you look a little more curvy & less defined..
 
many like to use creatine while cutting to help maintain their strength levels. personally, its more for me to cut without it because its more of a challenge to maintain your strength when you're reducing calories and upping your cardio and whatnot :)
