Hey guys! So I have been losing weight for a over a month now and I have lost around 10-13lbs with diet and exercise and have around 20 more lbs to go. It's been going great but lately I have had the most intense cravings and have unfortunately been giving into them. I don't want to undo all the hard work I've done so far! I have attempted weight loss several times before where I've lost around 10lbs in a month and then experience intense cravings and gain all the lost weight back. Any tips for how to get out of this loop and get back on track?

sure thing! youre probably experiencing cravings because either your body is deficient in something, or your brain is still stuck in that 'search for food for comfort and feel good' cycle. i had those too. what i used to help at first, was to literally just become disgusted with the foods i was craving. and allow moderation only!...but once i starting being disgusted, i didnt really want them that much :) @Harissia

Hey Harissa,

You mentioned that you have attempted to lose wight several times before and you ahve lost around 10lbs. That is good and very exciting because you already know how to lose weight. You are doing wonderful on your journey just realize that stress and your emotions play a huge part in the process. Stress from your environment, relationships, job, finances, family etc impact you on a subconscious level that you may be unaware of. So it is important to consider identifying what stresses you out, and before you eat ask yourself, am I eating because i am truly feeling hungry, or am i stressed out and dealing with a lot in the mind!

As far as getting back on track is concerned, look at each day as a brand new start. Everyday you can start over fresh and use the skills that you have with your new beginnings to create the life you want. So if you give into a craving that's ok! Identify what led you to crave for that food and resolve to eliminate or consolidate anything that trying to stress you out!
