Cracking knuckles and grip strength

I have always wondered if cracking one's knuckles makes one's grip strength stronger or weaker? Some say that cracking makes your fingers thicker and stronger while others say that the lengthening of ligaments from knuckle-cracking weakens one's grip. Any thoughts?:D

I hope someone corrects me if I'm wrong here, but in all my experience, I've never read or heard about joint instability caused by popping joints. Any instability had some other underlying background, for which the popping of a joint may or may not be a symptom.

As with any repetative and quick movement, doing it repeatedly and extremely often may cause slight tissue damage, but at the same time, popping joints supposedly also offers short-term increases in mobility at the popped joint.

I have cracked my knuckles all my life..and still do. No issues. Even have talked to a few docs over the years, they say it is all myths

I crack all my knuckles multiple times a day, and can crack each finger in 3 places, thumbs in 2. That's 14 cracks per hand probably 2 or 3 times a day, and I would like to think I have a strong grip :)
