Could Less Water = Less Gains?

Ok well let's assume i keep my calories high enough and i use a strength/mass building routine in the gym. I'm trying to bulk, but not putting on too much weight. Just wondering, could not enough water be my problem? I usually drink only about 30 oz a day, unless i'm at work, where i drink about 60 oz of water, which is only about 3 days a week. If i up my water intake to at least half a gallon a day (which i'm going to do no matter what the response is), could that help me on my muscle building mission?

well when your hydrated your muscles get bigger... its just like a sponge, itll absorb water and get bigger. It wont affect your gains but, its good to keep hydrated, because dehydration has bad results.

Water is needed to transport and store glycogen (energy) in the muscles. The more glycogen you can store in the muscle, the more immediate energy you will have for training. On the flip side, you can over-hydrate which will begin to flush electrolytes and nutrients from the body decreasing your energy levels. However, you would have to put some serious effort into drinking water to over-hydrate yourself.

So, yes more water will help, but it is not likely the problem. Assuming your calories are high enough, what about your protein intake?
