Correct Reps?

I am currently doing my weights program to try and define muscle and tone a bit. Arma/Back/Chest

I am doing this in 4 sets of 12 reps, is this correct to get the results I am after?

I heard that it is higher reps to achieve this?

Please advise

Gavin

There's really no such thing as toning and defining the muscle. That look is related to your bodyfat percentage and not your set/rep parameters. The reps you're choosing is conducive to building muscle but not much is going to happen without addressign what your diet looks like.

we have a winner!

Toning is indeed more about reducing bodyfat to show off the already developed muscle.

Heh, so for anyone that isn't light weight, just go for low reps alota weight? and hit cardio. When I was looking at the BMR it pretty much shows that your weight loss is determined by your food habits and thats IT almost. You burn when doing cardio but if your eating habits are bad then just cardio and working out wont do it. I was clueless to this until about a week ago
