Conucsions

I have recently recieved my second concusion (what was seemed to be one) due to wrestling about 4 days ago. It wasn't that bad, my first one was about a month and a half ago. When my head slamed into my oppenet my mind has a short "earthquake" (the only way i can describe it) I feel to my knees and was give a 30sec recovery time. I jumped back in and won, my mom who freaked out called the doctor and exagarated everything that happend and the doctor ordered an MRI since this is my second. Nothing showed up on the MRI

State finals are coming up (a large tournment for all the wreslters in my state) in a bout a WEEK and I really want to wrestle. I have experinced no headaches and I do not bealvie I suffered a concusion. I know concusions are nothing to be messed with but this is very very important to me, my life revovles around this. The doctor and my mom have put the choice into my hands.
Any advice?
Thank you

I would wrestle if i was missing a leg so defintly yes.
I just want to make sure that there is no reason not to. It would be about a week and a half after so I think it would be fine. Just geting a second opnion to help my decsion
No after headaches like the first one, i feel physicly and mentaly fit/capable of jumping back into wrestling

Judging by the way you spelled concusion you shouldnt wrestle

Judging by the way you spelled concusion you shouldnt wrestle

By the way he spelled more than just concussion....

If your doctor thinks your health is at risk, you should probably listen. And if you're willing to wrestle after losing a limb, I think we know how seriously you should take your own judgment when it comes to your well being :p But it'll all come down to you really, are you willing to risk whatever further can happen from exacerbating a potential concussion? Or is it safer to rest up and give the next wrestling match your all when you're in good shape?

Haha sorry spelling is not my strong suit. Expecialy when I am used to typing short hand on IM.
But I think im going to wait a full 2 weeks. Miss one or two matches.
Thank you all

At the end of the day its your call. It is very possible to get "dazed" or "rocked", as they say in fighting, and it wouldn't have any long term effects.

The doctors opinion is valid, but in my experience they will most often err on the extreme side of caution, and they are not always right.

Best of luck with your wrestling :boxing_smiley: no wrestling smiley, so boxing will do. :p
