Alright, I'm about 6' 1'' or thereabouts and I used to weigh around 225 for the first couple years of high school. I lost 25 lbs. last spring (of '08, my sophomore year), then lost another 20 over the end of last summer/beginning of fall (I became a vegetarian around that time.) I currently weigh around 180 lbs. and I've been at that weight for about 6 months. I'm pretty okay with what I weigh now; according to BMI and my doctor, I'm within the "correct" weight range. When I went to see the doctor, he was very concerned that I not lose additional weight, as was my mom. Initially I agreed - I had lost a lot of weight and I was just glad to be healthy. Part of the issue was the speed I lost weight at; even though it was technically over 8 months, it came in bursts of pretty quick weight loss. The issue is, I want to lose some more weight. My goal originally was to be at 160 lbs. roughly, which I think is a pretty healthy weight. Most people I know who are my height are either at that weight or below it. While 180 is a healthy weight, it's definitely on the higher end. In all honesty, though, my interest is purely vain - I just want to look better and knowing that I CAN but am technically not supposed drives me a little crazy. So, long post aside, does anyone else think that I'm being obsessive, or not? I know the doctor is the guy to trust, but he's made some odd calls before, ones that other doctors I've talked to have disagreed with. But that's a long story. What do you guys think?

I think you should stick with 180, but perhaps convert some of that fat into muscle. :) Then again though, I'm not a big fan for those smaller guys. They're too bony and not as cuddly. But at the end of the day, all that matters is what you see in the mirror. If you like what you see, maintain, and if you don't... Well, figure out if it's your mass that bothers you, or just the shape.
