Concept2 rower seat pad

I love my Concept2 rower, but the seat feels pretty hard and uncomfortable on my rear not too long after I start rowing. They sell a seat pad on their website that it dirt cheap and, I would think, could solve my problems. Did anyone buy that item as an accessory, and did it make you seat go from uncomfortable to comfortable? And for that matter, do those of you who have a Concept2 rower find the seat that comes with the rower comfortable enough as it is, or am I not the only one who finds the seat lacking in comfort?
 
Have you thought of putting a sweater on the seat I see heaps of people doing that at the gym. I find it quite comfortable myself.
