Complete body workout compared to isolated areas?

Hi everyone,

Can someone provide or point me to a thread of a good program for a "complex body workout" instead of the isolation on different days that I have been doing. From what I have been picking up here in the forums , as far as fat burning is concerned, this might be a better approach.

Thanks for any input.

You don't have to do the 'antagonist' days if you don't want. The core of a full body is compound exercises, and very little isolation.

should be able to do 3 fullbody workouts a week and still get adequate recovery time.
its more frequent, so you do less volume.

always start with hardest exercises first...squats, deadlifts, pullups, benchpress and then work to the easier ones, with any isolation at the tail end.

when i do fullbody's, i usually work my abs on cardio or off days, 3x a week. but its really up to you. abs are treated like normal muscles in my book.

my 2 cents...

FYI. A lot of people forget that a proper diet is a MUST for fat burning.

Its doesn't matter what kind of work-out you do as long as you work-out HARD and get your blood pumping. If you are breathing hard and uncomfortable then you are on the right track.

Mix weights with cardio while keeping your down-time to almost nothing between set works great for a lot of people.

Keep a fitness log and write everything down to see what gets the best results.

Read and keep informed on the subject. Get a library card and it wont cost you a dime (unless you are always late returning the your books. :D )

I hope this is useful
