Committed beginner in college

Hello all

I am eighteen, in college, and looking to start exercising seriously, for toned muscles, not so much big, except in the upper body, and not so much to lose weight either.

I am already pretty in shape, I have some muscle there, but not much. The catch is, I cant go to a gymn, and i dont have any equipment. I have been trying to keep my exercise varied, I dont necessarily have a set routine, but I am pretty clueless when it comes to this stuff.

So where do i start?

You can't go to a gym or you won't go to a gym?

Does your college have a weight room? If not, Is there another college nearby that will let you use their facilities?
 
there is a pretty nice gymn, but I don't want to go... mostly because it is absolute tundra where I live and I would have to walk about a half a mile of ten below zero to get there..

but if it were absolutely necessary I would do it. I improvise though. I can do pull-ups pretty easily on the door, curls with stacks of books, etc.. something tells me that won't cut it though.

And about food, do I have to worry about that right now, or should i just eat whatever? Again, I am not looking to build that much mass
