Probably not the advice you want to hear, but I will let you in on my experience. I had a drastic weight gain of 45 pounds in only 6 months from a med I was taking, and am still struggling to get the weight off.

You will need do the same things everyone else has to do- exercise more, eat healthy, etc.. It is a very difficult discussion because when you are overweight people automatically believe you did something to get that way (you either ate/eat too much or not the right stuff AND/OR you are inactive). I did neither one of these things to gain this weight, but it doesn't really matter how/why you gained it. It is frustrating at best. I believe the med I was taking permanently messed up my metabolism, but of course nobody is willing to say this is a possibility. But again, I have had to deal with the truth of the matter is it doesn't make a difference I just have to try harder than then next person to lose the weight. I will say I am finally believing that even if my effort is twice (or more) than the next person trying to control their weight, that it is totally worth it, because this is for me.

I didn't mean to go off on a tangent, and know this doesn't really answer your question, but I don't believe there are any quick short cuts to losing weight. Good Luck!
