Hi everyone, hopefully people who are doing this same diet are reading this. I have been doing the Cohens diet for a week now, it is my birthday in a few days, am i aloud to have a piece of birthday cake!?
Happy early birthday! As for the cake, a small piece should be fine. A lot of diets fail because people deprive themselves until they can't take it anymore then over indulge. Moderation is key. Good Luck!
Well mini mouse- you got the answer you wanted. If you ask often enough someone will give you the answer you're looking for.![]()
I know that a small peice will be all I have, and I will be straight back onto it afterwards. Thanks, again haha!

Please give it some more thought.
You may as well say "I'm going to half do Cohen's." It's setting a bad pattern that may make succeeding doubtful. It is much better to strengthen your resolve by sticking to the program. Imagine how you would feel being so strong that you didn't deviate from the program, even on your birthday!
You might undo a whole week, so soon after only just starting it. I know you're young but now is a good time to learn some new healthy habits. Tell yourself that you are doing it so that you can have a healthy & long future. You should have many more birthdays where you can choose to have some cake, knowing that when you are slim & healthy a little of almost anything is fine. That's what slim people do. They usually don't eat whatever they want, whenever they want.
It is your choice but I don't think you are giving Cohen's much of a chance to work as it should & would if followed 100%. Give yourself the best possible chance of getting to your goal weight. Do it 100% for your own sake.
May I make a suggestion that you start a new thread, but name it so that it is clearly your diary & then we can visit you there & answer any questions that we can. Most of the threads in this section of the forum are old & no longer used.
Also it's a good idea to ask your consultant all the questions that come into your mind. You are paying for it.
I have forgotten where you mentioned baked ricotta cheese. You are allowed to bake the cheese yourself, it's the pre-baked stuff they are talking about. It's to do with the measurements & the need to be precise. No pre-cooked meats allowed either, for the same reason. Read & re-read your program. It is so easy to forget something important.
It's good to hear your excitement mini mouse to be. Let it move you toward your goal. Cheers, Cate
