"Clean" eating I'd imagine means different things to different people. For myself, I consider clean eating to be a food plan containing whole, unprocessed, natural foods, which fits your fitness/nutrition goals in the most efficient way. In that regard, for example, I enjoy steel cut oats (rather than old-fashioned or instant oats) for breakfast because it's as close as I can reasonably/conveniently get to the whole oat groat. It also refers to cooking techniques too - hard boiled eggs are much better than fried due to the butter/oil used in the latter. Much like in terms of relationships, if you feel like you're cheating (having something not healthy for you) chances are you probably are. Cheat meals should be limited to 1 or 2 a week, and they should be planned out. Sorry about the stream of consciousness here, but it's a difficult topic to put words around succinctly. (Least it is for me.) Does this help?
