Christine Wolf's Weight Loss Journey

Today is the first day - I won't say of the rest of my life, because that was going to occur despite the intention to lose weight. I guess I will say that this is the first day of a new me - a me that realizes that I need to get the weight off for my health, a me that realizes that the only way to do that is by diet and exercise. There are no magic pills, and I will not wake up one morning 100 lbs. lighter.

Turbo Jam will become my best friend. For the first time, I have reviewed an exercise video with excitement instead of dread.

I'm looking forward to seeing the results as I travel this journey, and I hope to meet many new friends along the way.

I am making myself a promise to stay motivated, keep pushing on, and to post results weekly. I will post a journal entry daily. I am also making myself a promise that this time I will reach my goal!

Here are my beginning stats: 10/1/06

Weight: 258.2
Chest: 48
Left Arm: 20
Right Arm: 19
Waist: 50
Hips: 56
Left Thigh: 30
Right Thigh: 28

Welcome to the forum!!! Good luck and remember that we're all here to listen and support you!

Welcome here Christine, and good luck on your journey! You sound very motivated, and I can't wait to watch your progress! :)

Hello and welcome!

I'm thinking about ordering the Turbo Jam program. Let me know how you like it. And good luck!

Hi Everyone!

Thank you so much for the support! I did my first workout with Turbo Jam today and I loved it!

Cherry Bomb - I highly recommend Turbo Jam. I did what's called Learn & Burn where you learn the core moves, and I didn't think it would be much of a workout, but I worked up a big time sweat. You also get to log on to WOWY.com to track your workouts.

I want so much to get this weight off, but I have to keep telling myself that I didn't put it on overnight, so it's not going to come off overnight either.

The longest journey begins with the first step.

Yay! You made your journal! :)

It's so great that you started TJ :) Isn't it surprising how much the moves work you out? It's like looking at them... looks easy peasy... but then you start doing them and BOY they really do work you good.

Anywho.. I'll be checking back on you daily! lol
I know you're gonna do amazing!

Day Three and I'm still Motivated

Hi everyone!

Well, it's day three and I'm still as motivated as I was on day one. I received my Turbo Jam Maximum Results and I can't wait to do my workout today. I am going to try doing half of it with the weighted gloves.

I didn't do TJ yesterday, but it was bowling night so I still got exercise in. Also, and I know this sounds crazy, but all day at work, everytime I went to the ladies room, I would do three sets of one of the TJ moves like the tuck, the weave or the wheel. I know, sounds nuts, but I felt better for having done it. It helped me get some TJ in even though I wasn't doing a full workout.

I'm eating better as well. Making better choices. I can't wait for my first weigh in. I'm so excited!

My self confidence and self esteem was at an all time low, but I got such a boost on Sunday. The day started off terrible - stuck in traffic, flat tire, etc. My friend called a friend of hers that owns a towing company to come change my flat, and I not only got the flat tire changed, but I got the owner of the towing company to! Two for one sale, woo hooo!!!!!!

Hi Lisa!!!!!!

Talk to everyone soon!

Christine

Oh here is your thread! heh
I was wondering where you went! These forums just fly by so quickly it's hard to keep up :)

It sounds like you're doing amazing so far! I know you can do this!!

End of first week

Hi everyone,

Well, it's the end of the first week. I've been slacking a little, haven't been doing TJ the past few days. Actually, if I think about it, I guess I haven't really been slacking. Thursday night I bowled, Friday was a rest day, and Saturday and Sunday I was taking my motorcycle classes. You actually work a lot of muscles moving the bike around and working the controls. (Found that one out the hard way, lol)

My eating could be better, but Rome wasn't built in a day. I'm doing better than I was, so I guess I have to consider that to be an improvement.

I am promising myself that I will be back in gear with TJ starting tomorrow. I'm going to start the new week right.

Have a good week everyone!

Keep pressing Play!

Christine

Come on cwolf---no slackin' off now!!! Get that Turbo Jam back out and exercise your butt off!!

*kicks your behind into gear* (lovingly of course) :)

Hi everyone,

Kaitie - thanks for the kick, I needed it. I am going to finish my post, log into WOWY, and get my workout done! The stats for the first week were pretty good. I lost 3.2 lbs! Lost a few inches in the waist, hips, and thighs as well.

I think I'm going to do the "Fat Burn" workout today.

Talk to you later!

Keep Pressin' Play!

Christine

Woot!
Don't let yourself get back into old habits!
It'll get us every time and ruin our progress :)
A slack day is gonna happen every once in a while... but we just need to remember to pick ourselves back up and work these butts off! hehe

Keep at it! WOO! :D

Hi everyone!

I just finished my TJ 20 minute workout, half of it with the gloves! I feel great! I am finally drinking the water. So far I've had two quarts, which is more than I usually drink in a month!
