Chicken pox?

ok......our six year old is coming out in chicken pox all over his body, they are even in his ears, up his nose, in his hair and (poor thing!!) all around his willy????

what is the best thing to put on them?
we're using calomine lotion but it's sooooo messy and not really doing anything.

any helpful advice gladly welcome.

Calomine lotion is going to be your best bet to cover up the really bad spots... but you can also give your kid a baking soda bath to help with the itching and (with his doc's ok) over the counter anti histamines may also help control itching.

i remember i had gotten the chicken pox when i was like 18 and it was terrible. i thought i was going to drop dead. well anyway, i used aveeno bath treatment and soaked in the tub to help. see link. hope he'll be feeling better soon.
