chest workouts

I have been working out on and off now for a few years and have just recently noticed my chest hasn't been developing how I would like it to. I have somewhat of a gap between my chest muscles which I don't really like, and i've been told its genetic so i'm stuck with it, but I still think if I can develop my chest right it will look good. I have just recently changed my workout to try and focus more on my mid and upper chest muscles since most of my chest muscles seem to be focused on the lower outer part of my chest. I was wondering if anyone could tell me some good workouts to really explode my mid and upper chest muscles and give my whole chest a good workout.
