Goin' Cohen - Cherub's diary

Day 1 tomorrow
Done the shopping, will weigh in the morning, hoping not to be over 80kg!
Excited and worried about how I'll cope.
Goal 1 - to lose 5kg (75kg) - I'll reward myself with a facial at local salon
Goal 2 - to lose 5kg more (70kg) - Hubby said when my wedding & engagement ring fits me again then he'll buy me an eternity ring!
Goal 3 - to lose 3kg more (67kg) - Go for a weekend away... without kids...with my sweetheart
Goal 4 - to lose 3kg more (64kg) - book tropical holiday to Noosa or Daintree or to Tasmania
Goal 5 - to lose 2kg more (62kg....should be getting harder to lose now) - Shopping spree in Perth for my sexy slim beach body!

Day 1

Well, today was day 1 and I survived! Had a few rumbles before lunch, but apart from that, did ok...even had 2.5 litres of water! Did have a slight headache and quite tired now.

Must take the batteries out of the scales so I'm not tempted to weigh too often.

Off to the city tomorrow for work conference, staying in a hotel with yummy smorgasbord breaky (which is included in room rate!) but I WILL order room service...maybe a boiled egg to have with my crackers and fruit.

So proud of myself!:p

What do I eat? Well, day 1 today, I had:
B: mushroom omelette
S: crackers & orange
L: chicken & salad
s: crackers & honey dew melon
D: fish & veg

It's mainly controlled portions of protein, carbs & veg.
 
You're rewards sound awesome! I really have to come with some concrete rewards for myself.

Day 5

Played volleyball last night - played really well...have a bruise on my knuckle though...still learning how to hit the ball properly without injury!!
If anyone is reading this...get a team together to play indoor beach volleyball...I NEVER play sport but this is so much fun, I don't think I'll ever give it up...not too strenuous either. A lot of the players have quite a bit of extra weight on and is NOT a hindrance...go for it...doesn't even feel like sport.
Bought myself some non stick pans today for my chicken/fish etc and some Nandos peri-peri. Did some hard boiled eggs so I can just grab one in the morning to have on crackers with fruit and veg.
Hubby's going out in the boat shortly so hopefully we'll have some nice whiting or calamari for dinner tonight.

Hungry today

Day 6
Lacking energy today, doing everything 100% as well. Sleeping really well. Bra not so tight!!
Just come back from a stroll on the beach...saw 6 whales frolicking in close to beach...magic!
Friends coming for tea tonight...I slaved over cauliflower cheese for them and I didn't even lick the spoon!! OMG am I good or what? I'll be having prawns and salad for tea...they know I'm on Cohen's so won't ask questions.
I'd really like to weigh myself to see if it's working but I know that if it isn't a big loss then I'll be disappointed. Must get hubby to hide the batteries!
 
your discipline is amazing! do you have to eat very small portions?

yay also for finding volleyball! hope you continue to enjoy it.

you are lucky your husband goes out and catches your dinner, fresh calamari, yum!
 
Day 8

Naughty naughty girl...I jumped on the scales this morning...couldn't wait.
Have lost 2.4kg in my first week...quite pleased with myself.
Still going 100% to plan. Hubby cooked me fillet steak yesterday, yum, then had an apple (usually give me major wind) and yes, did give me a chronic stomach pain, so will stick to oranges and honeydew melon for fruit.
 
well done on the weightloss so far cherub. Its great to have another cohenette with a diary here
 
Day 10

The last 3 days, I've had low blood sugar levels on waking so have been eating an orange immediately after waking, seems to work.
Bought some slimmers tea today, it doesn't taste too bad...only had 1/2 a cup...didn't want to be explosive at work tomorrow! Had to stop the apples, gave me severe low abdomen cramps.
I haven't told anyone about this diet except 1 friend, my husband...and now the women at the health store...she wants to see my progress!
Have a girls night out tomorrow including dinner, however, I will eat before volleyball and turn up late with relevant excuse not to eat fattening food. Will sip diet drinks or mineral water....my halo is slowly rising!
 
Day 12

Wow...my skin feels and looks so much better...used to have flaky dry spots on face...all gone and no more cracked lips!
Went out last night for a girls night out...only had 2 small diet cokes...no one pressured me to order a meal either...told them I'd eaten before volleyball. Felt quite slim....jeans fitting again (16s) can't wait to fit into my 14s, 12s then maybe 10s/11s and I'll be bounding up stairs!

Just had the yummiest lunch, stir-fried garlic prawns and asparagus....SO GOOD...will make that a regular meal. My husband bought 2kg of frozen raw prawn meat for $50 such good value...and tasty as well..not like those awful supermarket ones.

Went to the markets this morning, bought:
2 huge bunches asparagus
2 bags mushrooms
bag rocket/spinach
bag organic tangy oranges....all of this was grown locally!

nearly finished my 2nd week...going strong.

You have a similar goal weight to me. I started at 78.2kg 12 days ago, my goal weight is between 60-64kg. What program are you following?
