Cereal for Breakfast?

I'm not really sure if I'm posting this in the right place, but I was wondering what cereal people eat for breakfast. I've been eating Grape Nuts and blueberries with skim milk, but I think its very carby so I was wondering if anyone has a suggestion for something with maybe more protein and few carbs.

I like having cereal for breakfast so if you have any ideas for high protein cereals that would be great! (I know that cereals are, by definition, carbs, but I'm hoping there is a better balance out there!) Anyone got any cereal suggestions out there that have a good balance of protein and carbs? Or are Grape Nuts a good choice?

Ack! So confused by the volumes of info on this site!

what you want to be looking at when choosing a cereal is fat and sugar, you want your cereal to be as low on both of these as possible.

I'm not sure there are any high protein cereals or I've never heard of any. The milk you're using has protein.

i know this isnt really a cereal but it tastes just like one. many ppl think weetbix is bland and will stop reading HERE but don't...........I have been eating weetabix minis which have mini choco chips in (not many) Heres the nutrtional Info:

Per 100g Serving:
Energy: 1598Kj
Protein:9.3g
Carbs: quite a lot......72.3g
fibre: 7.9g

plus its weetabix, which is wheat so......BRILL for the digestive system!!!

Some people eat Kaski but like you say its mostly fibre and carbs. You need to eat some cottage cheese or eggs with your breakfest to get your protein.

shredded wheat :D
its whole grain, has a decent amount of protein (for a cereal), has high fiber and is a good carbohydrate source. Also has super low fat content.
