Cellulite ....? The truth... ?

Hey everybody..
Like many women I have a cellulite problem. Nothing too drastic, but just enough to get really annoying at times..
I excercise regularely and tend to have a solid diet plan.
However, in some period it seems that i nearly have no cellulite, whereas sometimes it gets really noticable (for a few months period).
Of course, when my diet is better and excericse more intense, it decreases.

I read a lot of things concerning cellulite treatment.
Some of them claim that its impossible to get rid of it, that it's genetic, some say that massages are the only way, some say that lowring bodyfat helps, some say it doesn't bla bla bla...

So, what's the ultimate truth? Do creams and massages help and how?
I think this could help out not just me, but all the females that visit this forum and have the same problem more or less...
And is there a way to permanently get rid of it?

Tnx very much.

to reduce the amount of cellulite you have, the best thing to do is to decrease excess body fat. So Exercise and eat right to help reduce it. For the record their is no magic cream or pill that will help it. So do not waste your money on any substance that claims to reduce it.

Tnx Silent, I always like to read your answers, because they are very straigh-to-the-point and very accurate.

But what about massages? What is their effect? Do they really 'break out' that fat tissue?

cheers

:D Thank you,

Well I honestly cant say If messaging the area would help. In theory i do not think it would help much at all, But i can not say for sure as i have never done any research into this. Its worth a shot at least as you have nothing to loose from it.

I've done a lot of reading on this and it's said that some massages and creams can temporarily reduce the appearance of cellulite, emphasis of course on "temporary" and "reduce" not "get rid of." :)

Otherwise it's as the other poster said, reducing overall bodyfat-- it also is important to build up the muscle in the cellulite-prone area, that is supposed to help the fat in that area lay smoother. I also read that stretching the area is also helpful. So nothing revolutionary there.

Even liposuction supposedly doesn't help cellulite, but now there are these injection treatments called mesotherapy that reportedly are effective.

I'm trying to lose as much of mine as possible by summertime, we'll see!!!

Start working out and eating healthy, and treat your muscles to a massage now and again - not to reduce fat, but to work out the knots and the stress. You'll be glad you did.

Is cellulite just a form of fat, that's 'trapped' in an uncommon way, or is it more than that- toxics, wastes, water...?

Cellulite is just stores of fat that push against the "connective tissue" beneath a person's skin.

I remember a story of a woman who cut out (with a 12 inch blade) her "Cellulite" because she thought it was bugs under her skin lol sad but funny at the same time.
